We have been through many trials for the past several months and we have an especially tough week coming up so I am asking for prayers.
First off, dh is just getting over whooping cough. He has been out of work for over 2 weeks and has just starting feeling better. TBTG
We went through a week of several drs thinking ds-14 had a tumor in his right upper arm...they have ruled out a tumor and after seeing 3 specialists they only know that he has lost all the muscle mass in that arm and it appears that he has no nerves or blood supply to that upper arm....He goes to another specialist next week at a big medical center to try and figure this out. The drs are very puzzled and very concerned.
Ds-9 has a suspected heart valve problem. He heads to a different medical center next week to see the pediatric cardiologist team.
DD-20 has always had autoimmune problems. They are started to suspect Lupus. She sees another dr. next week.
I'm barely holding everything together. Since December I have been seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist and my primary dr almost weekly. They were very close to hospitalizing me in December. Now I am on a slew of meds and holding my own...sometimes. I'm pretty nervous about making it through the next week. The therapist is pushing me to put the kids in school, dh is against that. I feel like homeschooling is one of the constants that I actually enjoy, even though some days are hard.
My parish priest has been very helpful to us for which I really need to thank God.
Please say a prayer for us as week get through next week.

We have been having our share of doctors this week.
The wonderful news is that although ds-9 has 2 different heart murmurs, they are both benign and his echocardiogram showed a completely normal heart.
Ds-14 saw an orthopedic specialist. This dr. we liked very much. (4th dr. for this situation) He believes Mark has Parsonage Turner Syndrome. It is caused by a virus and effects the nerves going into his upper arm. He has lost all muscle in that arm. It does resolve itself in 18 to 24 months.  My husband asked about the expected tumor. The doctor said he cannot rule out that or any other "really bad" things. Ds needs to have a cervical spine MRI and a nerve study to look for possible tumors which can cause the same symptoms as Parsonage Turner Syndrome.
I need to just stay calm enough to make it to my own dr. appointment tomorrow.
Thank you for all the prayers! We surely need them.

Prayers continue. I am so glad to know that the echocardiogram was normal. We've been down that heart murmur road, so I can empathize!
Praying for your son's new doctor and for a quick diagnosis.
