Please pray for the soul of my friend, Jan, who lost a long battle with cancer tonight. Her oldest son is also a longtime family friend, and I taught her other two sons long ago when I was a substitute teacher in Italy. Jan loved reading as much as I do, and since she ran the base library, she was a wonderful friend to have...she used to stash books she thought I'd enjoy behind her desk; she knew I'd be in soon to see what was new.
