Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please pray for my nephew's wife (he's my godson too). She was in a serious car accident today, with my 2yo niece (Genesis)in the car. Thankfully, my niece is OK. Kristy, my nephew's wife (they were married this past summer), is going to be OK. But she had 36 staples put in her head, and they had to put her leg back into her hip. I'm sure she's in a LOT of pain tonight, and that her recovery could be painful, and difficult.

They DID say that she may be home from the hospital in a couple of days. I am thanking God tonight that she and Genesis are OK. They live in Prattsville, Alabama, and we live in Buffalo, NY. It's SO hard to be so far away from them as it is, but especially at a difficult time like this. :o( Thank you for any prayers.

We're praying, too, Tracy! Does she have anyone who can help her with Genesis?

Janette,
Yes, Kristy's family lives in Alabama where they live, so thankfully, they'll have help. My brother may go down to help for a bit too. The only new information I have is that she had to have surgery to have her leg put back into the hip, as I think there were severed muscles or tendons or something needing to be reattached. I'm sure the recovery will be painful, difficult, and possibly long, but I do know they have the support of her family there as well.
So I'm thankful that at the very least, we can become the prayer support she will absolutely need. Thank you SO much for praying!

Thank God all are alive.

They are going to have a meaningful celebration of the Resurrection!

Prayers are going up...

Sure puts the minor shoulder/neck stuff I'm going through in perspective. Thank God that she has family close by. We'll keep praying!

Our prayers are with all involved, Tracy. It really is so hard to be far away from our family when emergencies hit. These are the times I'm especially grateful to be able to pray and sacrifice for others. Please keep us posted.

Love,
