Please pray for Makayla, who lives in a small, close-knit town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. A dear friend who lives there brought her story to my attention this evening.
Makayla is only 18 years old. She suffered a grade four aneurysm, had surgery, and suffered a secondary stroke in late June as a result of vasospasms that could not be controlled. (Full story is here.)
Please pray for this young lady, her family and her medical team. Additional prayers are needed for her local community as townspeople rally to raise funds for Makayla's medical care.
If you or anyone in your family is a runner, you can pray and run for Makayla and log your miles at the Facebook page Miles for Makayla. Makayla loves running, so this seemed the best way to encourage people to pray for her recovery...run/walk/pray, log miles and encourage others to do the same.
Thanks in advance for your prayers. I know God hears them! May He heal Makayla in accordance with His will and bring her His peace, which we cannot fully understand.

Reading her article gave me goosebumps. My DH suffered an aneurysm rupture when he was 18, also in June (just in 2001). His was either grade 4 or 5. Many fervent prayers for this young lady, and I'll ask DH to do the same.
