After two late night trips to the ER for severe pain they discovered she had shingles. She will be staying in the hospital over the weekend. We won't be able to visit until tomorrow, but I'm sure she isn't up for visitors yet from pain and no sleep for two nights. It took a while to figure it out because she also has bulging discs and that is what was thought was causing her pain. This poor women has had numerous medical concerns the last few years and then she gets every possible side effect from treatments. Please lift her up in prayer! Thank you!

6/10: Home! She is doing good as long as she gets her pain meds every 4 hours. Keep praying so she can come off those soon. Thanks!

This sounds *just* like my mom! We will pray for her.

I know how hard it is o see your mom suffer like this, too, and to know that God's answer may be to allow her to suffer this. I always pray for healing for my mom, but yet I know that God may not heal her, and allow her what he allows her to suffer, as she knows to offer it up for graces for others, and will do so. But, it's so hard to watch a loved one suffer so much, so long.

Oh Cassie...prayers for your mom. I suffered with that 2 1/2 years ago and it was by far the worst pain I've ever had in my entire life and it lasted for about 10 days. I pray by this point the medicine has started to provide her some relief.
