please pray for a single man at our parish who is in despair about life and losing faith. I do not know him very well, but was asked to pray for him. Please offer a prayer or two on his behalf.

I'll pray for your man. Perhaps I can tag onto here, an older man has appeared at our parish from NY and is now homeless and directionless -- losing faith, also.

This time of year is so especially difficult for our homeless brothers and sisters. Not only is it cold and lonely outside, everyone else has family and friends to celebrate with.
Please remember all of our homeless brothers and sisters in prayers, and, if circumstances permit, with warm socks, gifts of food, and other tangible expressions of love, perhaps through a winter shelter program in your parish or diocese. (Our parish houses and helps homeless people each year, and we have volunteers who visit, play games, do laundry, sing, mend clothes and much more...you can help without spending money.)
I saw a homeless man today near our pet store...he stands in the same place, day after day, listening to a radio. Never begs, never intrudes...but a shop breezeway is the only daytime shelter he has.
For all of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have lost faith, friends, family and homes, let us pray to the Lord...

thank you for this timely reminder of those who need our prayer. will continue to pray for the men mentioned here as well as all the homeless and needy this holiday week.
