I have a very dear friend whom I have asked in the past for prayers for her dh who has Crohns. She emailed me as her dh has to go in tomorrow and get a hemoglobin transfustion as his iron will not stay up. Also they have to, and I mean have to make a major food switch to the Maker's Diet. I know about this and we eat a lot like it. I keep asking her to help but she will not let me. Also, she just keeps saying how "overwhelmed" she is.

I am going to be doing some cooking this week and plan on doing many things for her. Starting by bringing by some of our farm fresh eggs.

Please pray for this faimly and for me that God will guide me in how to help them without being the overwhelming friend.

Praying for your friend and her husband, Misty. Also, for wisdom for you. It can be so hard to help sometimes, but I'm sure our Lord will guide you in finding the right way.

I am praying! These major lifestyle changes work wonders...but they're hard to implement. I'm glad you're there for your friend.

Oh boy, when we (my daughter and I) were diagnosed as gluten intolerant, it was awful trying to find foods to eat. Now, it is easy, but it has been 2 years. Be there for your friend in prayer, and tell her to call you if she needs anything or just to talk. Sometimes, she may just need time to think and absorb everything. It truly is very stressful.
