Yes, I do feel a bit silly asking for prayers of this nature ... but
We are due to leave for the coast tomorrow. A week long camping trip on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. We do this every year. It's a big deal. Huge. It's all the kids talk about for months. But this year I have so much added stress. Not only because we now have infant twins, but because the girls are teetering on being sick. My husband is just getting over being sick. Our oldest is at the tail end of being sick as well, and I'm worried that the other four kids will fall sick as well (not to mention myself too!).
If I were to pull the plug on this trip *ALL* would be devastated. But we all know how family vacations go - our kids don't sleep as well, they don't eat the healthiest of foods, and just being away from home can all become a catastrophic failure. ... even in the midst of having so much fun.
So, we are going. Please pray that I won't regret this decision. That all will be well. That sickness will keep away and that the breezy salty Pacific air will do us good.
** and maybe, say a prayer for me ... my responsibilities of taking care of all the children only multiply when we are not at home, my worry increases, I have to be ever more vigilant with their where-abouts and safety, and I have no conveniences of being at home **

Praying for you with great empathy. May Our Lady intercede for many graces during your entire week. Praying for everyone to remain healthy, for dh and kids to be extra helpful, knowing what extra work it esp. with trying to keep track of young twins who are wanting to be active, and all the littles. It IS much harder to keep track of the kiddos when out of the comfortable/familiar surroundings of home. You are definitely brave to take such a trip still. May Our Lord bless you for being self-sacrificing in still taking this trip for everyone's sake, and may His angels attend you helping make the load easier, and everyone's moods cheerful and helpful, as well!
