Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

With the many challenges we r going through in my family I felt it might be time to change parishes. We have attended our 1st daily and Sunday mass and everyone was happy and give both pros and cons to this new church. Please pray that the Lord would direct me and my children (and hopefully one day my dh again also) to a parish of His heart for us.

A few things this parish has that we like: a excited and wonderful youth group, dept free, an expansion to the building that I understand was approved by the parish as a whole, a priest for 12 years (wow), (kids love) soft seats not hard benches (which would also be helpful to my dh's back, adoration on Mondays, and daily mass Tue-Fri

A few things we would miss: a wonderful choir, a larger parish (though it seems only in numbers not in attendence), adoration any time (24hrs), a book store, a library (which both we could still use even not being members)

Please pray that my heart will be directed to the parish that is for us at this time in our life. Misty

Praying for you Misty.

One thing I have to say that I love about our current parish is that, much as I miss having easy access to a perpetual Adoration chapel, our weekly parish Holy Hour is a wonderful thing: it draws the parish together (ours is well attended), and it's been a beautiful discipline for our whole family.

I hope your new parish is a blessing to your whole family.

Sally

You could still go to 24 hour Adoration at the first parish, even if you are no longer parishioners, right?

You don't need to jump into a formal move right away. Give yourselves some time.

Thanks, yes I can still go to adoration at the 1st parish. We (me and kids) have went to the 2nd parish 2 Sundays now and it's nice. Everyone likes it except the singing. I love to sing on Sunday mornings. My kids dont be even they said the singing is well.. bad. And because the women who sings isn't good no one really sings. It's really sad ;0(

We will see. We go back to our 1st parish this weekend because my son is scheduled to serve. Thanks for the prayers, changing parishes is so hard to decide.
