At about 9:00 this morning, the 18-year-old boy from across the street (who we barely know) came knocking on our door. He wanted to know if we had a bible. He said he was struggling spiritually. My husband got him a bible and a glass of water and sat and talked with him for a little while on the front porch. We're not exactly sure what's troubling him, though he seemed worried because he had at some point denied God out of arrogance. He asked my husband where he was spiritually when he was 18. He asked if anyone had ever told him they were going to hell, and they didn't care. He also asked what the birthmark on his hand that looks like a 7 means... (this makes me smile, because he *is* still a kid, even if he is 18).
Please join me in prayer for this boy- my heart goes out to an 18-year-old who would get up early on a Saturday morning and knock on the door of an almost-stranger asking for a bible and some spiritual direction. His name is Adrian.

I will pray for Adrian! It was hard enough to be 18 when I was, but this world seems to be throwing so much at young people, now.  Your dh sounds like a wonderful man to sit and talk with Adrian.

This is one of those moments when you can physically see how real God is. What an incredible moment to have this boy come to your house. Praying for him and for you all. May God bless those seeds you all have planted...

He is so blessed to have you in his life. You must lead a good Christian example if he knew to turn to your family in a spiritual crisis. I will pray for Adrian. I hope that he realizes that God always loves us and always takes us back after we repent for what we have done wrong.
