OK ladies - need prayer warriors to help me! Got an offer on our house (on market over 1 year!). We are going to counter as it is a bit low - this is our 3rd offer - first one went under contract but fell through on buyers end. 2nd one was at least $60,000 lower then our asking price (which is already low for the comps around us). This offer is ok - we are countering - they offered $35,000 lower then our asking price so we are countering 10,000 lower then our asking to try to meet in the middle.
We just need to be done and move on!!!

Thanks ladies, the offer is a no go. . . they low balled us - we countered (a fair counter). These people are a local move - their house is not for sale yet - they are approved for what they offered while their current house is not sold. So, they low ball us, hoping we accept and then (in this lousy market) would be willing to have 2 mortgages for who knows how long! Nuts - they have 2 kids - so the family FITS in either house; both houses are built in 2005! So, I don't get it -except my yard is bigger and backs a forest (remember this is texas and trees are VALUABLE!). What is it with us Americans and 30 something year olds in particular (sorry - just my over a year experience on the market) that they want something - like a spoiled kid - they want it NOW. UGH! NUTTTTS!
Maybe turn this into a prayer request for another offer - we certainly have showings picking up.
