I'm new here but I thought I could post a prayer request..
My 8 year old daughter and 9 year old son are both in Private Catholic school this year. We got a free scholarship to send two of our dc and after considering it we chose to send both of them. They both are in the same class, it's a 2nd/3rd grade mixed class. My 8 year old dd is thriving, she loves her teacher and classmates. She's learning a ton! My 9 year old won't admit it, but I know he loves it too, just from his excitment about everything. (He likes to complain about everything) I'm actually starting to love the school too. They do copywork, the delay formal grammar until this 2nd or 3rd grade (depending on the class), they do a lot of hands on projects, they study shakespeare and poetry, they do read alouds, they do fun projects to learn about religon, they memorize verses.. Okay so now I'm rambling. My point is it's a great school, But I miss them. It's not just them being gone during the day. I miss learning a long with them, seeing their face light up when the get the 100% on a math test. All that kind of stuff. It's a lot different when your not their teacher anymore.
I'm having a hard time deciding what to do for next school year if we should bring them home or not.I've been praying like crazy for guidance and thought maybe you could send some prayers my way!

You are such a good and caring mom to be so tender and sensitive in this way. And your request for prayer is such a good one - the stewarding of the education of your children.
I will certainly pray for you and your husband as you seek God's will as it regards the education of your precious children. May the Holy Spirit gift you with great wisdom and clarity to see His plan, and the courage to step forward into it.

I will pray for you. The decision is easier for me since we don't have a Catholic school anywhere near us. May the Holy Spirit guide you in this process and may you have the courage to act in the will of God.
