Please pray for my BIL. He has his first custody hearing for his daughter tomorrow. She was born out of wedlock and the situation just gets worse and worse. Please pray that God guides the judge to a fair settlement that will be best for his daughter. Please also pray for his daughter. She just turned 2 and is starting to understand some of this. The situation is not good for her and I often wish I could just adopt her and give her a solid foundation. Thanks so much and God bless.

He had his hearing and the judge set the child support at $350 which is more than he can afford, but he can deal with it. He wouldn't discuss the custody arrangement until the mom gets a lawyer so it probably won't happen until after the holidays. He is likely to get joint custody (3 nights a week). The mom is so upset that he is seeking joint custody that now she won't let him see his daughter so it is likely that he won't see her until next Jan. Please keep this whole situation in your prayers. I feel so sorry for the little 2 year old caught in the middle.

I am praying with so, so much empathy. Not to be a wet blanket, but please warn your BIL that his daughter's mom may stall and stall and stall on the attorney thing so she can retain sole custody for as long as possible.

I'm so sorry your little niece is stuck in the middle of this. I am praying!
