Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know, I know, never pray for patience! I couldn't think of a better word.

There is a situation in my life where time is of the essence, yet someone very dear to me is dragging feet. Please pray for this situation. I particularly need to be the bigger person and not let this (wonderful) situation get in the way of my *relationship* with said person (who is also wonderful and amazing ) when the situation goes sour and is unobtainable for lack of action. Even though it would break my heart.

Thy will be done, Lord!

Thanks everyone!

Praying with you, Amy. It's very tricky to handle things *right* when they are ticklish.

Peace,
Nancy

I made the mistake of praying for patience in church on Sunday and got a whole afternoon of tests!!! I will pray that God grants you the grace to handle all things that are sent your way. Hang in there! Praying in empathy!

Praying, Amy, I know the feeling, and sometimes am personally the one acting sluggishly even knowing that time is of the essence

I know! I'm trying to think of a more appropriate word! Peace? Resignation to God's Holy Will? Not patience, definitely not patience.

I think my main concern is that if I *don't* happily resign myself to this situation, it will cause a rift in the relationship, because the "foot dragging" is a long standing problem, and I'm feeling ignored. Although said person would say that she/he is being "cautious" for my sake.

I say throw caution to the wind!

Thank you for the prayers everyone.

Sending up prayers for peace!

(A word from a confessed "foot dragger", thanks for being patient! We tend to have overexcitable fears that cloud our vision and we (I) need time to hash out plans for all the "what ifs". )

Praying for you Amy the grace to wait on God's time (and that the foot-dragger might be open to God's time being sooner than than their comfort level if that is the case ). Most of all praying for peace within the relationship, and that it might not be rent by whatever happens.

Thank you everyone.

The foot dragger has officially put their foot down and brought any thought of action to a screaming halt.

I'm only laughing so I don't start crying.    At least, I felt a very momentary sense of peace which could only be the Holy Spirit when the person in question told me their thoughts and decisions. That feeling is long gone but I'm just putting my hope in God's will that this is really all for the greater good of me and my family.

Thanks again for your prayers. I love you guys.
