Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

To a Catholic Moms group that, up until very recently, has been purely social.

I was given background from one of the leadership team: she said the group of women, though Catholic, are largely uncatechized.

She has heard my husband and I both speak about Advent to another group---and our talk oozes Catholicism.

In other words: I. Love. Feast. Days. :)

Please pray for me, as I am horribly behind in writing this, and dh is not home this evening to help put kiddos down...I am soooo not done with this talk.

Also, please pray for the women tomorrow that they may be open to what I say, and God-willing, that they may incorporate some of these ideas into their own homes.

Thank you!

I will pray, Maggie! What a blessing you will be to the group!

Would you also consider sharing some of your talk with us up in Domestic Church afterwards? I would go in person if I could.

I will be praying for you - what a great opportunity to inspire. May your enthusisam shine through and invigorate an interest in the feast day and holy season celebration for these women.

May the Holy Spirit inspire your words and make them flow smoothly and quickly onto the page! And may He inspire you and these ladies tomorrow and throughout Advent!

Melinda, I will share, definitely...right now, though, I have about 9 pages of material. Eek!

Honestly, my talk is mostly culled from 4Real Members' ideas because you all have such a wonderful sense about savoring the beauty of the liturgical seasons!

While this savoring may be a way of life for many 4Real members, I sometimes forget that for others, this concept is absolutely foreign.

Please continue to pray for me. Still not done.

Sent the kids into the woods to play with wildlife so I can finish.    They already got into my box of goodies and wanted to play.

Thank you for the prayers, everyone!

Sending prayers. I would love to see a copy of your talk as well. It might be something that our church could do. We have a very similar situation here. May the Holy Spirit guide your words so that you can open up hearts to the beauty of Jesus during this important season!
