Please pray for all the victims of the recent devestating floods Hurricane Irene left in its path. I know the news media was talking about how the storm was "overblown", and that may have been the case in NYC, but in our old county in upstate NY, they experienced a 500 year flood. From what we have heard it has essentially wiped out one town almost entirely, including all the farms and farmstands that we used to buy from, as well as the houses of many of my husband's coworkers.

Please pray for them as they pick up the pieces. So many people in that area are poor, and I doubt that many had flood insurance... I don't know how that part of NY will recover.

Sending prayers.....we are west of this area of NY, so we were spared, but many in upstate NY are hurting badly....
