I've just seen the photos, horrific. This is very similar to what happened in our city and south west of our city in January this year...the disbelief is enormous. Praying for the affected communities, are you ok Mari?

Yes, we are just fine. We live on high ground and if I didn't leave my house I would never know the devastation in our state. Thanks so much for your prayers. The roads are tricky here right now...lots of detours. my SIL was stranded with her two littles due to her bridge that was washed away. So glad she was able to get out and is now staying with her father. Her husband happens to 2000 miles away at the moment.

The pictures just rip at my heart. I lived in Fair Haven, Vermont, and in Burlington, and am a graduate of the University of Vermont (Nursing). I check the photos and articles in the Rutland Herald online and pray. My Mom lives in Rutland, VT, but she's on high ground, and I'm relieved that she's ok. This will take a long time to fix, unfortunately.
