And it just might be. 
With all the housing prayers requests as of late, I hate to ask you all for mine too ... but I could use them.
We haven't yet put our house on the market ... though I've been working like mad to get it ready. A couple of weeks ago some friends (neighbors actually) expressed interest in buying our house (they have told us this on a number of occasions throughout the past year or so ... ever since we told them we were building a house). So last week the wife came to take a look (my first showing ... my poor children, I wasn't exactly the image of divine merciful patience and understanding that day, I said "clean that up, put that away" more times that I care to admit...
After the showing she was so very complimentary of our home, and carried on and on about how lovely it was (I was all-a-glow, and was so proud of my home ... and very proud of my kids with their cooperative effort!), but she also talked quite extensively about the finacial jigsaw puzzle that they would have to overcome in order to buy it. ...so, she ended with "we'll see, I think we need to shop around some too".
Fast forward to today, she tells me they received financing (with some hoops they'd have to go through) and wants to come and look at our house again, she has asked to come today or tomorrow ... and her husband will come with her this time.
Of course I am thrilled at this, although I feel a bit guarded with all their financial haggling that they'd have to overcome before they could commit to buying our house, but the situation couldn't be more perfect. They live two houses away and haven't much of a care as to when we move out (!). That means we could likely finish off our new house, move out at our leisure, and allow them to move in afterward. All without having to list our house at all ... saving us both time and money, and the inconvenience of showing the house to random strangers at will.
Really, it could be too good to be true. ... it's too easy. Just like my husband said this morning "don't hold your breath".
I know that God has perfect timing, and this may not be it. Perhaps rather than praying for this deal to go through (which I am praying for too), but I also pray that I can gracefully accept His will for our family. And if this is not His will, that I not bury my head in a pillow and cry. 
***Update 8/31***
I sincerely thank you all who are praying for my intention. We still don't have an offer from our friends, but they came over to see our house once again yesterday. I believe they have narrowed their search to three houses, and ours is one of them. Dh and I are willing to negotiate with them, and have told them so. It's all up to them now, and I cannot tell you just how much this would alleviate my stress.

The wife called me this afternoon and asked if we could get together tomorrow evening to work out a deal! Oh my goodness! Pray with me that we can come to an agreement that will make both us and them happy. Giving thanks to God for this opportunity that we have with them!!!
***3rd Update***
Well, I have officially negotiated the sale of our house (with my neighbor and friend) all done largely through email. No real estate agents involved, and not having my house spend a single day on the market. Honestly, slap me. Too good to be true!

***4th Update***
How sad that there is another update. Truly. Evidently it was too good to be true. The sale fell through ... just days before we were to close. The details aren't important, and really, it would take me just too long to write it all out. This isn't something that the buyers intended and they are heartbroken about it. They continue to seek options for purchasing our home, but as each option presents itself, so does another obstacle.
I really can't even convey to you want this means for my family. It complicates everything. And our future options for this house don't look very promising (meaning, it is really a terrible time to place our house on the market, and neither my husband nor I are interested in renting it out to strangers). Things look rather bleak.
I'm worried, naturally.... But not worried. My mind tells me to be frantic with panic and stress, but my heart tells me to place all of my trust in Jesus. Our Heavenly Father holds all of the details in his palm ... He hasn't shared those details with us, but my heart fully and completely trusts that all will be fine.
I know all of you amazing women will bow your heads and say a prayer for us, just as I hold all of you in my heart with your sincerest intentions.
How is it that I can have such peace in the midst of all of life's happenings? It is truly an extraordinary feeling.
