I have been reluctant to ask for prayers regarding this matter, but it appears that now is the time. Dh and I have had our eye on this particular house since October. Well, it isn't really a house, but a former convent, complete with a chapel with stained glass windows (one a beautiful one of Our Lady) and a big cross on the front. We just love this place. It has all the spaces we need and the best yard of any house we have looked at and it *is* a former convent  This place has felt like *our* house since the very beginning. The price is absolutely right.
It has been a roller coaster ride with this house (it is off the market, it is on the market, our house goes on the market, convent goes off the market, then comes back on...sheesh). Anyway, it seems that now is the time to act. Our house has been for sale for nearly 3 months with little action. We can't swing both mortgages and they won't accept an offer contingent on the sale of our house. So, we are hoping they accept an offer with a closing date a couple months out and then we hope to reduce the price on our house and pray pray pray that it sells. Will you join me in praying for this intention. With the current climate it seems impossible that our house will move, but then again it seemed highly unlikely that a second contract would fall through on the convent and yet it did!

Thank you for the prayers  We put an offer in last night. The only thing in the contract that they may want to negotiate but that we can't is the closing date. We set it for the end of the year (about 120 days) in the hopes that we can sell our house by then. We have dropped the price on our house and our realtor is working hard to get the word out. I appreciate any continued prayers on the matter. We were at the convent last night and the girls are just so happy when they are there 
I am remembering all of your intentions in my prayers.

Thank you so much for all your prayers Tomorrow afternoon we have another family coming through the house, the third in about 10 days! Before your prayers we had only had 2 families in just under 3 months. The family that came last Sunday is very interested and our realtor thinks there could be an offer from them, but he said not to get our hopes up.
As for the convent, they have accepted the monetary part of our offer but want to close in 8 weeks which we would not agree to until we got an offer on our place. So, right now we are in a holding pattern with it. They have no other offers coming in at the moment, so as long as we can get an offer on this place it is ours

Reviving this old prayer thread. Right now we really need prayers for proper discernment and that we can soon have a positive change in our housing situation. Since this thread was last current, the convent went under contract before we could sell our house. We started to look for other options and decided to take our house off the market to try and remodel/add on to our current house. We have not had luck with contractors. I had gotten over the convent (as I had had to several times before when it went under contract). This saga has been going on for over a year now 
Now within the last 2 weeks the convent has come back on the market  I am at my wit's end with our current living situation even though previously I had been very happy with the prospect of staying here (with changes of course). So many things about the convent are so appealing, but the location is less than ideal and the size can at times seem overwhelming. We only have 1 car and dh currently walks to work. With a move he would have to take the bus (probably). Adding to the confusion of our discernment, starting next month dh will be able to ride the bus for free Of course, this is great but it is just another thing that makes us think God is pushing us to this house. He is removing all obstacles except the biggest one With our house not currently for sale and my lack of enthusiasm about putting it back on the market I don't see how the house is going to sell I need someone to knock on my door and offer to buy the house Maybe that should be my prayer 
This is such a small thing, but currently it feels big to me. Any prayers are appreciated and I will be remembering all of you in prayer as well.

Thanks for the prayers. I am currently getting ready to do some painting in our house to get it ready to go back on the market. Our realtor said the market is still really bad here, though
We may be headed in the right direction as for our future housing We looked at a house today that suits are family very well. It is a great size (not too big, not too small), it is in beautiful shape, has a beautiful 4 acres with a great view, and fantastic neighbors to boot Even though we haven't yet sold our house, it is nice to find something that suits us and is in a location that we would feel lucky to live. I feel our prayers are being answered!
Please continue to pray for a speeding sale of our house. Thank you and know that I remember all your intentions in my prayers
