Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would love any prayers you all could dedicate to our local churches. We used to have a vibrant Catholic community in Southern WV and Southwest VA. We used to have a Catholic school and lots of opportunities to practice our faith. Our parishes are now dying. The school closed a long time ago. We have to share 1 priest among many parishes. We no longer have daily mass or Eucharistic Adoration. Now we don't even have mass on Holy Days of Obligation. There is nowhere within 45 minutes that we can go to mass today and it makes me so sad. I can watch mass on EWTN, but it is not the same. Please pray that there is an increase in vocations and a renewed faith of Catholics in our areas. I am sure we are not alone in this struggle. Thanks and God bless!

Thanks so much for your prayers. I actually have felt God leading me to teach Faith Formation this fall, but have been avoiding it because I was so disappointed with it last year. It was the same as the CCD I got which was basically really watered down and just told you that God loved you! I finally called the new director of faith formation and he is awesome! He is homeschooling his children and is completely on the same page as me. He changed the curricula and it is going to be real faith formation now! I couldn't be more excited. I truly believe that if the kids can be taught real catechism, then the future of the Catholic church looks much brighter, especially in an area like ours!!! Thanks again for the prayers. They have been really helpful to me!
