Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Poor Amy--(dd-16)....it looks has though, on top of all her other medical troubles, has lyme disease. Please say a prayer for her and that she doesn't have any long term effects from this disease.

Update: 7/30
Amy has tested negative for lyme disease....her rash is getting worse and spreading....they are now thinking MRSA She is on heavy duty antibiotics and we are waiting for an appointment in Rochester (3 hours away) to try and get to the bottom of this....the poor girl is suffering...

Update 8/1

We are heading to Strong Memorial hospital in Rochester on
Wednesday. (about three hours from our house). Please pray that we get some answers.

Update: 8/5 The doctors at the Rochester hospital feel she definetely has lyme desease, but it has been treated in time so as not to cause long term problems. They are also addressing her chronic hives and autoimmune desease. They will be beginning new treatment soon, which will mean frequent trips to Rochester....3 hours from home. We also found out that she needs surgery on her foot....so we still really appreciate your prayers!!

Thank you all, so much!

My dd had a bad case of Lymes when she was 6. She was bounced from Dr to Dr until I got help from a natural health practitioner. She took a parasite cleansing protocol (Paragone) for Kids and several other supplements and had NO sugar or gluten for awhile. She started to feel relief of her symptoms almost right away after suffering for months. If you didn't catch it right away and the antibiotics don't do their thing, you may want to do something like this. Please remember to include a good quality probiotic for her as the antibiotics kill off the good bacterias that the body needs too.

HTH somewhat!

Perhaps it's the other way.. that the Lymes Disease is actually the root of the other problems and maybe treating it will help everything else. I have a friend that was finally diagnosed with Lymes and it was causing all sorts of auto-immune type of issues.

I was just thinking the same thing! Lymes can be so hard to diagnose, but medication can work wonders for this. I'm praying this will bring her some serious relief.

I will be praying for Amy and your family (resolution to her medical problem, safe travels, good weather, etc.)
Will she be at Strong? Rochester is my hometown, if you need a place to recuperate before your drive back just let me know.
God bless,
Mary-NY
