My FIL is having very extensive skin cancer surgery tomorrow. Most of the skin around his eye in affected. He will have a surgery early in the morning to remove this skin and then a second surgery in the afternoon (at a different hospital) for reconstruction. They are actually going to have to sew his eye shut to try and get the skin to stretch and then do another surgery in about six weeks to get skin from elsewhere to use around his eye. My husband and his parents will also be driving nearly 2 hours to get to the hospital. Please keep them all in your prayers. Thanks.

He is out of his first surgery and is at the other hospital now for his second surgery (the reconstructive surgery). This is the more intense surgery and he will be put under general anesthesia. It is supposed to start at 3, but they are going to try and get him in earlier since his first surgery was done at 10:30. Thanks so much for your continued prayers.

FIL is done with the second surgery. They had to take some skin from around his other eye to be able to get enough skin, but he is done with surgery and is awake. They will be driving home in about an hour. Thanks for your prayers!
