The daughter of a good friend is now in John's Hopkins. Her name is Mary Virginia. She is good friends with my daughter Malea.
She has a serious abcess in her throat, which may require surgery. They had to give her two spinal taps to rule out meningitis. She is feeling pretty rotten, but her antibiotics should kick in soon to help.
Please pray for complete healing, and that surgery isn't necessary. Also, please pray for her mother, Carrie, who is at the hospital with her, and her father and six siblings,one of them her twin, at home.
Also, and this is not necessary, but.... She has been practicing for a play for months, and the performance is Saturday. If she doesn't need surgery, and can come home on Thursday, there is a slight possibility she can still go. It is not a priority over healing, of course, but to an 11-year-old girl, it is a big deal. So, please pray for God's will in this instance.
