I would just like to pray for those who lost their loved ones or their homes in the tornados tonight. We even had a tornado warning in WV which almost never happens. It sounds like some of it was pretty bad.

Praying here as well! I used to live in tornado country and I remember only to well the feelings of helplessness during the season...

Praying for everyone involved, especially those families who lost loved ones. Also praying for everyone caught in the aftermath, for strength of heart, mind, body and soul. May God bless them all with a sense of hope and peace as they work together to pick up the pieces. Events like this give one a sense of what truly matters in life. Praying that all souls touched by this tragedy will be drawn closer to God and to one another.

OH NO! In my attempt to be more "unplugged" from media sources, I'm apparently out of the loop. I looked on yahoo today to search for something and could not believe the death toll and then checked in here and saw this. Sooo devastating.

So many prayers from us - for the repose of those who died and for the survivors. I can't believe how lucky we were here in northwest MS; although the sirens went off for 3 days, we never had a touchdown and only lost some branches.
The Good Friday F-4 tornado that went through St. Louis struck close to home, too... we used to live close to that side of town. The pictures of the destruction were of streets I had been down. I can't believe that no one died in that tornado, or was even really hurt. But in St. Louis, unlike in much of Alabama, they had basements.
