Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been giving myself Enbrel injections weekly for my RA the past 9 weeks, and I am getting awful site reactions. I thought it would become better as time went by, but they are getting worse, and besides alot a benadryl there is nothing to help it. We may need to stop the enbrel and try something new----and I am sooooo done with "trying something new".

Prayers would be appreciated....

it takes almost a week for the reaction (swelling, pain, itching--a BIG welt) to go away, and then it is time for the next shot.

Thanks so much---I know I can count on all my prayer warriors!!

Can you do epsom salt baths? Epsom salt helps your body to handle toxins and best use nutrients and such. If you're body is really low (in sulfation.. what you get from the epsom salts) then a lot in the bath might make you feel a bit icky.. and you can lower the amount until your body has a chance to recover.. You want to use clean water (no soap) and put in 2 cups of epsom salts.. working up to about 4 cups. And you need to stay in the water for a minimum of 20 minutes.

If you can't sit in the tub.. even a foot bath can help.. or soaking a cloth and laying it over your body.

And vitamin C is necessary for your body to handle an allergic reaction. If you're low in vit. C then the reaction will be worse.. and so you can actually make a reaction better by increasing your intake of vit. C. (I take about 4000mg vit C a day in the summer to almost eliminate my hay fever symptoms)

I don't know that you can do either of those.. but wanted to mention them.

That sounds very uncomfortable, physically and mentally.
I am praying for relief for you.
