Please pray that IL SB 136 does not pass, in any form. The bill would require IL home schoolers to register with the state, which is a small step toward more and more restrictions. IL has one of the least restrictive set of laws and we would like to keep it that way. 4000 homeschoolers showed up in Springfield yesterday to protest the bill.

I must say it's great to be a homeschooler in IL. We went and the ability to pray and sing with other homeschoolers was wonderful!! Hearing thousands of voices singing American Patriotic songs and Amazing Grace....it was wonderful. Well worth the stress of dragging four kids almost two hours away from home.

Bill has been tabeled, thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray, I am not sure that pur rights are protected fully.

Also, thank you for everyone who attended, I was unable due to daycare.

We have a bill before our state Congress right now that will force everyone to test annually and get a specific score on the test to continue homeschooling. I am praying for all laws that limit homeschooler rights to be abolished! I am so glad that there was such a great turnout in IL! I hope there is a great turnout in WV if the bill ever comes out of committee.
