Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dear sisters, just looking at the new reports of the tremendous Australian storm and feeling I must post here for prayers of protection for all of the people of that area of Australia. Dear God, please guard them from the storms that threaten them. I pray that You will calm the fury of this storm and shelter Your children. St. Barbara, pray for us. St. Christopher, pray for us. St. Benedict, pray for us. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us.

Thank you Caroline for posting. Gosh, it seems unbelievable. First, severe flooding for Queensland and now this,
quote
"Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi was upgraded to category five off north Queensland this morning as the weather bureau warned it was likely to be "more life-threatening" than any storm seen in Australia in living memory."

We are about 1000km south from the northern part of Queensland expecting this onslaught but boy it feels a little eerie imagining what people are anticipating.

May the divine assistance be with us always.

God Bless,
Marcia

I am praying for the safety and well-being of northern Queensland's residents. I've been through two hurricanes and it is not fun at all to watch a huge storm bearing down upon your home.

Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us!

Thank you for those prayers for the state of Queensland in Australia, the severe flooding in the southern end a few weeks back and now the northern end is facing the worst cyclone ever.

Please pray in particular for a member here, Jenny "amethyst" ~ she has her beautiful sewing blog Jenny of Elefantz..they will take a big brunt of this cyclone. They haven't left but will ride it out at home, please pray for Jenny and her family's safety.

I would just like to thank those of you who have said prayers for my fellow Australians in their time of need.
The worst of the cyclone is now over, it is now category 2 and heading inland which will be quite an experience for those there as they don't usually get cyclones, we pray they keep safe. The current reports are there have been no lives lost and no serious injuries, thanks be to God! But much destruction was done. There are tough times ahead for many. May God be their strength and comfort.
Thanks so much again and God bless!

Thank you for all your prayers for our Queenslanders, we are now beginning to see images of the damage, but effects are still being felt as it moves across the State as a rain depression.

I too would like to thank you all for your prayers. We were south in Victoria, on holidays, and I just knew you all would be praying thank you.
We were in Eastern Victoria, and were on alert from a fire front that was coming our way. That was very scary, and at exactly the same time Cyclone Yasi was making itself felt in QLD, and following a cyclone comes the storm suges and the rain and the floods.
Just as we as a country were getting over the cyclone images, Fires in Western Australia.
3 weather events in 3 states in one week.

There will be a lot of rebuilding to do from all these natural disasters,
Please keep us in your prayers

Leanne
