Please pray for Dorothy. She has a hernia. She is 88 and on dialysis. This is a huge setback for her, one that came up suddenly today. As I write, she is still in surgery.

On the good side, Dorothy is surrounded by loving family and friends (including us, providentially). She is being cared for in a good hospital, one she's been in before, and she know she is in good hands.

Please pray that God's will be done and that Dorothy and her family will find peace during these stressful hours. Dorothy's faith in Christ is strong and I know she will be ready to meet Our Lord if this is the right time.

Thanks so much for your prayers. All of us who love Dorothy are so grateful for your intercession...

Surgery went quasi-well. Dorothy is stable and the hernia has been repaired, but she could easily have this happen again, so there's a lot of long-term worry involved. Your prayers are very much appreciated.

Please keep praying...there was a huge flap-X today about discharging Dorothy to home when she hadn't even eaten a tray of clear liquids yet...I think the crisis is over for now, but this situation clearly is not resolved.

Dorothy had a rough day, too, because her dialysis machine lost power while she was undergoing her dialysis procedure. Very scary.
