Ladies - your prayers are always included in ours, even though I don't post on every thread :)
We have been plugging along over here and the generosity of friends and strangers has been a blessing, as I struggle to find additional employment and further promote my website business (anyone need infant/toddler items, by any chance?).
Well, it all crashed in the other day when my 6 year old (my SIX YEAR OLD) asks me when I'm going to find a job. The ensuing conversation revealed that he didn't think I was looking for a job (despite the resumes, applications, interviews, etc that I've explained to him as they happen???); he thought that I wasn't trying; and he had "forgotten" all the job hunting things he had seen me do. He also did not (allegedly) understand that the website IS a business/employment.
(frankly, I think someone has been feeding him lines because this conversation was SO contrary to everything he and I have discussed leading up to that conversation - as well as the fact that I've rarely had a "real" job during his lifetime - we did family daycare and tutoring until he was 3 1/2; then we were in MN for Montessori training and I worked the mornings at his school; then I worked here for two local parishes as the DRE until the contract ended - since then, I've done temp work and the website).
In fact, that is where my prayer request lies - that whoever is seeking to dismantle the peace in our home will choose to be silent or even better to help promote that peace - and come directly to me with concerns (and if that person has allegedly done that, then please don't bring my child into it).
And that I find the additional income we need to make ends meet. We are SO frugal and we keep all expenses as low as humanly possible, yet the rent and sewer bills don't change and can't be bartered!
