I know this is small compared to so many peoples' needs, but please spare a prayer for our dd, that the new kittens that we adopted yesterday will be found. One is sticking around, but the other one has not been seen since this A.M. when we took them out to get used to the yard and the dogs(we can't have animals indoors because of allergies, we just kept them in for one night to get used to us all). Dd has such a tender heart and is so worried for the kitten.
These kittens were an answer to prayer. We have been praying to Sts. Jude and Rita for help in getting rid of rodents. We have them so bad this year! I had asked my Mom to join us in invoking the intercession of these Sts. for this intention. She prayed that night and woke up the next A.M. praying to them for this, and lo and behold dh was on his way out to get some gas he needed and found two little kittens at the end of our long country driveway! Guess what else, the kittens were a boy and a girl.... we immediately named them Jude and Rita. They are great little kittens, nice and calm and friendly, they just need some fattening up.
Dd would so appreciate prayers that the kittens will be okay, and that they will stay healthy, she is such a mother, and is worried about her dear pets! Please pray also that she will be at peace and can sleep tonight.
St. Anthony, pray for us!
St. Rita, pray for us!
St. Jude, pray for us!
Thank you dear friends!

I will definitely pray. Leave food out, and it is very likely the other kitten will return at some point. Those little ones who are used to fending for themselves sometimes come and go for awhile until they "stick".
It is very worrisome while they come and go. We had this last year with a kitten we found in a swamp. She would disappear for hours or even a couple of days at a time, but she always came back. It's been a year now, and she gets disgruntled with *us* (especially the boys) if we are gone longer that she thinks is right.

Thank you all for the prayers. We thoughtthe same thing to leave the food out, but our 6 mo puppy won't stop eating it! We put her on the chain last night for a bit so we could leave the food for a couple hours and see if she came. And then there's the rodents we're trying to get rid of, they'll eat it up if we leave it out! Oh well, what's a person to do.
Thank you for the encouragement aboutyour cat Melinda. That's what we were trying to encourage our dd with, that cat's will be aloof and be gone where they want, and when they want, but they'll come back. As a young girl with a tender heart for my pets I used to worry over them the same as dd is now.
We let the boy kitten who stuck around the porch more yesterday sleep with dd(after a good bath of course ) one more night to comfort her, and to bond and make sure he would "stick".
We all appreciate the prayers!
