Some of you may remember I asked for prayers last December for a friend who had stroke...and a few others, too.

Well, today her dd called me about something being wrong, and I went to her house and had to call 911.

she is in the hospital right now......I was with her for two hours and she never recognized me.

though it looked like a stroke at first....it appears to be more likely she had a horrible reaction to a medication

Could you please pray she gets well quickly? She is such a sweet fragile little thing....who loves Mary and the rosary

I am going to bed not knowing how things turned out for sure because I do not want to bother anyone this late...I have to be at work in the early morning for a meeting so I will get to check on her then.

I wanted to post yesterday...but I was waiting for her husband to return my call and he never did, so I just shut the computer off without an update.

When I went to work yesterday morning, I found Sister Anne there who told me that my friend was not there that morning so she did not get admitted to the hospital which was the plan when I left that evening.

Apparently her dh has witnessed the same kind of reaction before to the medicine, and says it mimics stroke symptoms, but he never told anybody.

He works about 5 hours away from home, till they get moved to that area.

There is NO WAY I could have watched somebody have those reactions without calling for help. NO WAY.

So, he is a little bummed it became a bit of a big deal...he is not mad at me....but frustrated with himself and with the whole hospital issue...and the $$$$$.

Poor guy. I can tell in his voice he is suffering while trying to mop up this mess. He did say on my message that his wife was not doing too well yet.

Please keep praying for the family. Thank you.

I will try to go see them tonight after our soccer game.

Please pray for me, too....I made the decision to call 911 very calmly, even saying, beforehand: Tom is going to be so mad at me."   I knew, but I had to call. He knows that, too. but that first encounter is kind of a discomfort zone.

I appreciate and covet your prayers. My friend will, too.....she is so loving.
