Please pray for Jen's (Mackfam) 13-year-old daughter who had a seizure this afternoon and is now at the hospital. She is doing better, and they are hoping for some answers.

Words can't express how grateful I am for your prayers. Sarah is home now. She was released tonight since they couldn't find an obvious reason for the seizure she had this afternoon.
About 3:30 this afternoon, as we were shopping in Costco, Sarah had a seizure...or actually a number of seizures in a row. As she was seizing she stopped breathing. It seemed like an eternity to me as she turned blue, but I suppose the period she stopped breathing wasn't very long. The entire seizure lasted about 5 minutes. God is so good to us though - He knew I would need help exactly at that moment and placed a wonderful, calm woman who was shopping with her adult son right in our path. They helped me with Sarah, with the other children, and called the ambulance for me while I held Sarah.
Sarah had a CT scan (which revealed nothing, thanks be to God! No tumor!) and a battery of other standard tests and other than being anemic, we found no glaring reason for the seizure. Since it's possible that this is an isolated incident, the standard procedure is to release the patient and watch them closely for additional seizures especially during the next 24 hours. So...Sarah is home and we're watching her VERY closely here!
I'm so grateful for your prayers for Sarah, and beg you to continue them. I don't need to tell you all that I pray I never see my child turn blue in front of me again!
God bless you all for your generosity in prayer!  This was a hard day. The two boys saw their sister turn blue and witnessed the long seizure. They are processing in predictable ways, and we're able to talk with them as they need to talk, explaining what they saw simply, but I can tell that it impacted them both.

I'm praying, Jen! I hope that this is just an isolated incident. I pray she rests peacefully tonight.
