Will you please offer prayers and sacrifice for the family of my sister-in-law? She received a call last night that her niece had taken her life. K was a beautiful and kind high school sophomore, the oldest child in a Catholic family. I have no further details.
Please pray for the repose of her soul and the healing of their whole family and all of her friends. I can't begin to imagine the grief they are experiencing. My heart aches.

Oh.....  what a loss....what a horrible cross this family has to accept. They will need prayers for a long time. I'll add their family to our prayers; thanks for posting this request. Maybe we can all take a small share in their cross this Lent.

I received a few more painful details about this. K has been struggling with bipolar disorder for the past 4 yrs (since 12!), and she made 4 previous attempts on her life. Her father and sister were home with her when she ended her life.
K's death came at the end of a long battle with a terrible illness. Her parents did all they could to help her these last few years, and they have suffered unbelievably. This heavy cross is one they must always carry.
Her memorial service will be held Tue. Please, please keep all of them in your prayers.
