Would you please pray that my waters don't break before labor? It would make things so much easier.

I am at least 38 weeks 3 days... for some strange reason I'm starting to think in terms of the earliest possible "due date" rather than the latest I'd been using all along -- so I could be more like 38w5d or 38w6d... and I've never been past 40 weeks with 2 spontaneous labors and 1 induction before 40 weeks when it seemed like things were probably going to happen pretty soon on their own anyway.

Our sweet little boy was born just before sunrise on Sunday morning, the 19th. We are both doing well.

As for this prayer request -- not only did the membranes not rupture before labor, he was born with them entirely intact!

It was a really amazing birth, leaving me with much to "ponder in my heart."

It may be silly, but I prefer not to have my kids' names "Googlable" or something, so I won't write it out... but we decided to name him after the foster father of Jesus (first name) and the patron of "things almost despaired of" (middle name.)
