A dear friend just called and told me his dad may have Alzheimer's. (It seems likely, given his recent behavior, but I have encouraged my friend to have his father properly screened.)

My friend lives far away from his father (two days' drive) and knows nothing about this awful disease or how it will affect his father. Sadly, I do, so I think I've just become his local support system. (I am glad to do this - he is such a caring person and it is nice for us to be able to give back some of what he's done for us over the years.)

Please pray for my friend and his dad, and for the brothers back home - they will all have to work together to care for their father, and it will be a very difficult time for all of them.
