I'm trying not to be a big wimp about this, but boy oh boy am I in some pain!!

I had a tooth break last weekend, an infected, impacted wisdom tooth. I was put on antibiotics and waited 48 hours to have the tooth removed. I am 25 weeks along, so only minimal topical pain meds could be used. The tooth had to be surgically removed. It was brutal.

I expected recovery to be painful, but it was way worse then expected. Turns out I now am suffering from 'dry socket', plus, I am suffering from the most awful side effect a woman can have from antibiotics....if you know what I mean.   

I can't get back to the dentist until Tuesday, where he will pack my tooth socket. Until then, I am using clove oil and eating sparingly. UGH!

Please pray that I tolerate all of this pain and discomfort gracefully and for God's glory. I would much appreciate it.

Lisa, that sounds absolutely awful......I am so, so sorry!!!! I will be offering up my pain for you. Make sure you are drinking a ton right now.....so you don’t get dehydrated along with everything else!!!

There's nothing wimpy about crying about a dry socket.. I have a fairly high pain threshold and that's enough to send you over the edge.. I'm surprised they wouldn't get you in sooner.. it only takes minutes to fix and the relief is almost instant and surely would be way way better than any pain meds.

Also rinse with salt water.. that could help

I'm doing a bit better, thanks so much for the prayers. I had my tooth packed yesterday morning and felt much better most of the day yesterday, but now the packing is coming out and the pain is returning, though thankfully not as intense. I have to have 3 more teeth done after the baby arrives. He didn't want to do it until he could knock me out for it - and I'm good with that!!
