An emotionally intense issue that blew up out of the past last year and I thought had been resolved in December has suddenly erupted again. I am on my own over the period I need to make a decision on this and am already at a very very low ebb spiritually and emotionally - I KNOW I must be able to deal with this and somehow benefit from it because God will not allow me to be tempted beyond my strength and all things work for my good but I do not FEEL that way at all. I would value prayers for wisdom and clarity, and peace...
This is an issue I did not want to discuss with my 6yo, but he overheard the suden flurry of phone calls this morning and I think I explained it with an age appropriate measure of honesty but as nicely and soothingly as I could. I would vastly appreciate prayers for him to feel safe and untroubled.

Lucy,
I've been thinking of you often and offering prayers for all of your intentions!
I will continue, asking the Holy Spirit to grant you wisdom and clarity of mind so that you can make this decision in peace and without allowing it to disrupt your family life. I'm praying as well for your son.
Can you take this decision before the Blessed Sacrament? Even with the kids...even if you only had 5 minutes to sit with Him...I know Our Lord would bless that time!

Praying for you and your son. May the Lord cover the past with His all-powerful Grace and Mercy, and reward you for your faithfulness in this time, for trying to deal with this in a grace-filled way. God can truly overcome our pasts and make our lives new, I have experienced this miraculously in my own life, my life today is so very different from the past, by His Grace. Take comfort in His love. Jen's suggestion to go before our Lord in the Holy Eucharist is excellent, that has been exactly what got me through some of the most difficult experiences of my life.
We will pray you through this. I find great comfort in prayinf to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal lately when in distressing circumstances. She has been faithful every time to hear my prayers and bring relief.
