Hello everyone! It's been quite awhile since I last popped in here but have been keeping everyone in my prayers!
If you all could spare a prayer or two for me for motivation I'd appreciate it!! The baby is 6 months old (already!! Where does time go!?!?) We are having so much fun with her and she's a happy, easy baby.
I need motivation to get my butt up and work on house keeping routines and (this is where I have been SEVERLY lacking) our meal planning & preperation.
I have the best of intentions to get organized but when I have time to do it I don't. I tend to sit and read about other's systems and dream about what I want/need in my own home but don't do it. The thought of starting makes me exhausted. Our home is clean but it could be better. And I really need to get better at planning and making our meals as we haven't really eaten healthy. The baby is old enough to "help" while sitting with me but I feel so lazy and just don't get out there and do it.
Anyways after that long explenation thank you! I hope to be able to come in here more often and contribute but it's hard to type while holding a squirmy baby!

Praying here, sometimes it is just so hard to get motivated! I have been struggling with this too.
A thought, could it be a little bit of Post Partum Depression? I know it can actually show up a little later within the first year, even if you didn't get it right after baby. Or do you take good vitamins? I know the B vitamins can really help a person pep up a bit. A good B-complex helps me when I need a lift, and the nice thing is you can take a little extra of them on a bad day and it won't hurt, your body will just dispose of what you don't need. Anyway, not trying to be bossy if you already know of these things, just hoping to help, I know how hard it can be when one is struggling.
Praying for you! Keep enjoying that precious little one, they are such a gift!

I am going to pray for you, but also I want to say: don't stress... just enjoy this time with your dreams and your baby. Enjoy every minute.
After I had my first one, I did much the same as you... used any down time to think and dream and read about what other people were doing. Then, thirty minutes before dh came home, I would run around the house like a mad woman and make it all look presentable. I was always impressed by how much I could get done in a 20 minute whirlwind . Then #2 came along, and those times vanished forever. So enjoy your time now.... that first baby is so special!

Jen
It's so good to *see* you!!!!
Do be gentle on yourself! I'm praying for you and your intentions. Sometimes, it just takes a deep breath, a resolve to focus on the spot right in front of us, and a start!
Hug that sweet little one for us!
