Many of you may remember the prayer request I had going for my friend Clare a mother of 4 little boys who has Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

They finally found a bone marrow donor for her and she booked in to go ahead with that transplant in two weeks or so but they have now run into further complications as she is getting some irregularities in her blood test results. This could be just a hiccup while her bone marrow is still trying to sort itself out OR it could indicate a problem where the leukaemia may be coming back. It’s not common to relapse so soon, however, it certainly is possible as this disease is so unpredictable and “a wild beast” (to use her Doctors words).

If you could remember this wonderful Catholic mother in your prayers, this is such a heavy cross, she has battled problems all the way along with this.

2nd UPDATE: The biopsy result came in with good results!! I think the doctor was a bit surprised..so now it means that she can safely undergo the bone marrow transplant on the feast of St John the Baptist this month! This is a very risky procedure, with a 40% chance of rejection and death, please continue to remember this good lady in your prayers and many thanks for all your prayers so far.

3rd Update: Clare underwent her bone marrow transplant on the feast of St Anne...this is such a dangerous procedure with a substantial risk of dying, please pray she pulls through of this for her family!
