A young couple at our church is expecting their first baby. They just found out that she has only three chambers in her heart. This baby may live to be born, but not much longer than that. Cecilia, the mother, is heartbroken. My heart breaks for them as well. So I beg of you to pray for a miracle for this couple.
I'm also asking for prayers for another couple who has tried unsuccessfully to become pregnant.

Praying Tina, how utterly devestating this must be for them..praying for the couple that are having trouble conceiving, I know what this pain is like, watching my own sister suffer it for the last nine years...

Also praying for the young couple, their openness to life and what that shall mean for them in the future.
(I too know the pain of infertility)

This is a cross close to my heart. I've walked this painful road of carrying a child with a death sentence.  I'm praying and asking my little saint Matthew to intercede on behalf of these parents with hearts that are aching!
I'll pray for the couple with infertility as well, Tina! Thanks for giving me an opportunity to pray for these intentions!

Update 6/14/2010:
Miracles DO happen and all of your prayers for this couple helped encourage this one along. A few weeks ago, the situation became more hopeful for the little one. The heart situation did not look so dire. Just this weekend, I heard the following:
Cecilia had her baby three weeks early. The doctors have decided that this baby (I *think* it's a girl) does not need heart surgery until after she's six months old.  That's a far cry better than the surgery they thought they'd have to do more immediately. Just the fact that she has six months of life in her is an amazing miracle considering their first thoughts. 
They're in the process of determining whether the Downs Syndrome they see is congenital or chromosomal. According to some mutual friends, while DS hasn't been diagnosed yet, it is quite apparent.
I know for a fact that this couple has a whole church community behind them, supporting them. And they have you all, supporting them in prayer. Thank you, so much!
