Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Moms~

Please pray for me (again). After receiving the pathology and surgical report...and putting it together with symptoms I am having...my creighton doctor thinks that the surgeons may have missed removing the baby altogether in my ectopic surgery 2 weeks ago.

I am all in a tizzy and had to pack up my kids to make the 40 min drive to the hospital to get blood drawn. We can't ever have a normal day here...

Worst Case Scenario: Doing the surgery over.

Also, he informed me that the first surgeon did things terribly wrong (or I should say, not in a way that respected the fact that we want more children)...and did an unnecessary D&C which also compromises the integrity of my now waning fertility...

I am awaiting results from the blood test, which will determine whether ultrasound, further testing, and possible emergency surgery (again) are needed.

Lent has never been so penitential. And on this Feast of the Annunciation, I just cried. I would like my own
"Annunciation", but things are looking quite grim.

At 28 years old, I did not expect having "just" two children...but it is a very real and potential reality for us...

Thank you for your prayers for the many things I have listed.

I will keep you posted on the results of the tests.

Maggie

********UPDATE********

My blood tests came back "almost" normal. However, my doctor says it is ok. We are GREATLY relieved, as is he.

However, he is dismayed at what the surgeon did, and repeatedly expressed that this morning.

Nothing like having your doctor be depressed for you.

Please pray that we are able to work with the PPVI--and that they get back to me soon!! We have been having communication problems...and we just want to get on the schedule...to coordinate flights, child care to meet us in Omaha, surgeon's schedule, and husband's schedule is not easy at all. Please pray they get back to us soon.

Thank you all for the prayers...please keep us in your prayers. We have a long road ahead of us...

Jesu, Ufam Tobie.

Maggie- I am praying that you will not need a second surgery, and that God will bless you with all the children he has in his will for you!

Thank you all for the prayers.

I think I have lied to everyone over the years who have asked me, "how many children do you want?" I have always responded, "As many as God will give us." I thought that meant a good dozen children or so...

I realize now that I never meant what I said...because I never thought I would only be given two...

Granted, we won't know for sure until after a few more surgeries that I need...but at this point, my midwife and doctor think this may be the case...

And so...I need to mature in my faith a bit more...and really mean what I say, "Yes, I want as many as the Lord will give me." I do have a strong preference for many children, though. I think God knows that by now.

In the meantime...we are waiting for the latest round of tests to determine my more immediate medical issues...

Thank you so much for your prayers! On pins and needles here...

Oh Maggie. My goodness. I'm not even sure of the words I should or could say to comfort you.

I will be praying, mightily praying, for you.

Whatever God's will, may you have peace in your heart.

Maggie,
Many prayers for you. I am so very sorry for your pain. I remember many years ago of crying and pleading with God for more children. It never happened. At 25 the Dr. told us that I would not be having any more children. I did not have the same problems that you do, but do know that God might have other plans for you later on. His plans are soooo much better than anything we can ever imagine! I know because 2 years after the Dr. gave us the bad news, I was pregnant. Then we had 3 more children after that. I went from crying on the couch all day long in a massive deep pit of depression to crying and laughing all day long at the antics of my children. I will be holding you in prayer Maggie and thnking of you often. I will make a visit to Jesus today and offer my prayers for you.
God bless,
Cheryl

Thank you so much, Jennifer.

I do need everyone's fervent prayers. The suffering comes in all sorts of different forms from the very obvious suffering of losing a child traumatically to other more "hidden" sufferings.

Please do keep up the prayers. I thank you for remembering me.

Maggie, thanks for the update. I will carry your intention with me to Mass throughout the Triduum and Easter season.

I am thankful that you are in good health right now, so that you can move ahead with the PPVI.
