I know sometimes it feels like we pray and pray and things stay the same, but I watned to share two responses to prayer requests that I put to this board.
About a month ago, I asked for prayers for myself. I needed to have a colonoscopy done because of some issues I was having, and found my self worrying myself sick over what "might" be the problem. Thanks to all the snow around here, my appointment was moved several times, and I would have been a wreck, but I asked for prayers to bring me peace, and God did just that. I remember realizing a couple of days after I posted that I wasn't scared anymore, and I was no longeer burdened with usless worry. Thankfully, nothing is seriously wrong, and I am grateful for your prayers.
This one is interesting--I also asked for a friend's father who is terminally ill with cancer, who was to recieve Last Rites. I didn't know that he wasn't even Catholic! Well, he is now! He expressed his belief in the Eucharist, recieved his First Communion and Confirmation and is a member of the Church! I know this gives great consolation to his wife and daughter, and now he gets to participate in so many graces that he didn't have before!
I will remember all of you and your intentions, stated or otherwise. Thank you all so much for your generosity in prayer!!

Thanks for sharing these stories, Anne! Prayer is powerful, powerful, powerful, and it is wonderful to hear when others feel and even see the works of the Lord.
...goosebumps...

I am catching up with replies here at We Pray to the Lord and just wanted to thank you so much for sharing such beautiful news. How is your friend's father doing? I'm praying for your intentions.
