Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have come here a few times today thinking about posting a prayer request, but I don't even know what the exact request is. I keep having well-meaning people tell me, "I am worried about you", "It's dangerous for your health to have so many children", "I don't know how you can handle so many children", or similar things. Why can't they just rejoice with me that we are expecting another blessing from God. I have never had what I consider serious complications from pregnancy or childbirth; and even if I did, it would be completely worth it. I am sorry for rambling. I guess that I need prayers for peace of mind.

Christine, it is so hard to be so different in this culture! I will pray for you that you will feel peace even when those around you seem to be trying to rob you of it.

I am praying for you Christine. It is really difficult in this day. Our culture doesn't support what so many of us hold dear and understand as blessed and holy.

My Dad, himself, is #11 of 12 ~ born in the 1930's at home, with his siblings and parents to witness the miracle of life. How life was celebrated!

I am celebrating with you . It is something to behold, for sure. I pray for your peace.

Dear Christine,

Remember that beautiful quote from Blessed Mother Teresa,

"How can you say there are too many children?
That is like saying there are too many flowers".

Know that God is mighty pleased with you

Praying for you Christine.

It sometimes helps to have some mild (though the less milder ones are more fun to think of ) replies to people's concerns. A great one if they approach you about being worried about your health is to just let them know that you're under care and that your caregiver sees no problems.

My miscarriage has been even harder in terms of things that have been said to me by two people than my pregnancy was. When I told one person that I was miscarrying, I was told among other things, "I will be praying that you don't have any more children for at least two years." Another has continued to say things that hurt. Today, I mentioned that we were hoping to have more children, but we were continuing to place our family size completely in God's hands. The person responded that she thought it was best for me and my children if we didn't have any more.

Neither of these people spend time with our family. I have never complained to either of them; I love my life and my family and don't have anything to complain about.

My hcg levels are still coming down (they were 825, yesterday) and I am trying to pray for these two individuals throughout this time. They have no idea what I actually went through between the 4th and the 7th of this month. Please pray that I can keep forgiving and praying for them.

Thank you, Nique, for reminding me of Bl. Mother Teresa's words, "How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers."

I'm sorry these people are saying such awful, ignorant things!

You are still in my thoughts and prayers, Christine.
