...silly, maybe. But I often find myself in some mental oasis with Jesus, pleading for the Grace I need to be a gracious hostess.

I struggle with the mess, clutter, and disarray that comes with housing guests for the weekend. We are celebrating dd2's birthday this weekend and family is arriving today. This often means that beloved grandparents provide (ahem) too much of *everything*...bedtimes and routines get mussed up, activity level soars, and my peace within my own heart plummets down as I try so very hard not to wish them, um, back to their own homes.

Terrible. I know.

Please pray for my change of heart. And my openess to the temporary hulabaloo, and to wrap myself in graciousness for the family I love so dearly.

Yes, having guests in the home can be stressful, but think of all the wonderful pictures and scrapbooking pages that will result from it! Your children will love going back and looking at those pictures when they are older. In fact, they may even help you to scrapbook them!
