Can you please pray for a friend from church whose name is Amity? She fell on the ice Christmas night and hit the back of her head. She went to the ER and they did a CAT scan and said she did have a concussion and it would take time to heal. Well, here we are almost 3 weeks later, another dr. appt later, another ER visit & CAT scan later and she's still suffering with great pain. She's trying to get an MRI done but not having much luck w/ dr appts as they seem to think her waiting 3 more weeks for an appt. shouldn't be any big deal. However, with 4 children including a 2 year old, the pain is at many times unbearable along with dizziness and leaves her incapable of doing much of anything.
On another note, my step-dad has been "under the weather" for the past 10 days. It's all general "not feeling well" but he's 83 years old and he doesn't think he's sick enough to go to the dr. If you could pray for his health as well I would so appreciate it.

1/23: Gosh, I thought we'd have some improvement by now but my friend, Amity, with the concussion is still having pain and symptoms of nerve damage now.
As well, my step-dad, Doc, finally went to the ER last Weds., and they found a mass on his liver. They biopsied that and his pancreas on Thurs and we'll know the results Mon or Tues. He went for his 6 month check-up to the dr. last Dec. 12 and all his blood work and abdominal check etc. was fine so this seems pretty swift. He's lost 10% of his body weight in the 5 weeks since then. At his age, it doesn't sound very promising and if it is what we think, it's only been about 3 weeks now.  I would also like to add my mom, Sue, for obvious reasons.
So, thank you in advance for these prayer intentions.

Thank you! My friend is still suffering and can only be awake about 1 hour a day so continued prayers are appreciated. Fortunately she does have family to help and the Moms group is doing meals but that doesn't help her physical suffering right now. She did finally get an MRI on Fri and should know results soon.
My step-dad is may be a little better as well. He did finally CALL the dr. so hopefully that'll help.

Thank you...I will forward that info to her husband. It makes me so sad for her to think she could suffer through this for months. I feel wiped out and non-functional with a simple allergy headache sometimes...I can't imagine not being able to care for my family for such a long period of time.
