I posted prayers for our friend, Eunice, here. She has been patiently waiting to be recalled for surgery to remove the tumors on her liver.
During this time, the doctors discovered that although they removed a large part of her colon, there was no cancer on the part they removed or on any other parts of her colon. Now she is traveling to Cardiff tomorrow (what a great day) for surgery on Wednesday. They have also scanned her liver twice.
I ask for prayers for safe travel and for a successful surgery. I continue to pray for you ladies. You are great prayer warriors.
Update 12/14
I spoke with her priest last night and he had news of Eunice. Apparently, when they opened her up, the discovered that the cancer is also in her pancreas. Since they wanted to seek further direction, they did not perform the surgery. Father asked that all of you continue to pray for Eunice with renewed energy.
Update 1/20/11
I know that it has been awhile since I posted about our friend, Eunice. She has fought valiantly, but the cancer has now moved into her lungs. She tires quickly, has very little strength, and has difficulty breathing. She is mostly homebound, but I did see her last Saturday at daily mass. I fear her time is near.
I ask you to pray for Eunice. She is not sad. She is very certain about where she is going, but she also asks for prayers for her dh. He is having difficulty with accepting her death. He is very dedicated to her now and it is really very beautiful to see such love.

Update 6/11
I know that many of you have been praying for Eunice. I received a call from Father J. today telling me that she had passed from this life into the next. I believe that she knows where she is going. But please continue to pray for her soul. And also pray for her husband, Roger, who will miss her greatly as will I and all the people she has touched. She continues to be a great influence in my life!

Oh wow! How troubling, Carole. I will certainly pray that tomorrow's surgery is successful for Eunice, and that her traveling is safe!
