I wanted to put out a request for prayers tonight as today I took a pretty good bump on my rump.
My DH was out all day for a conference and I took the boys up the hill to a neighbor’s house to go sledding down their driveway with some other kids (nice and slick with flat bottomed sleds).
One of the kids was coming down quick towards the 2yo so I stuck my leg out to try to slow her down a bit forgetting that I’m 32 weeks pregnant and a bit of balance. So around I go and smack down onto my bottom onto the concrete driveway.
The baby is still moving and I’m not having any serious contractions but I am feeling quite sore and blah. I spoke to my midwife and I’m staying aware of any changes. DH is home now and I’m sitting and resting but I just keep praying that everything is okay.
I’m just hoping that I’m just feeling “off” since I’m tired and bruised. I suppose sometimes we need a reminder that we need to take it easy.

I'll pray...and tell you a funny story.
When I was about 30 weeks pregnant with my 3rd, I heard on the news of an impending storm. Well, my husband had just bought me this nice swing for my patio - one of those swings with a shade canopy. I was worried about that swing canopy catching the wind...and worried about losing it...so, I trekked out there with my big belly and started to remove the canopy when the front edge of the storm blew through. I REFUSED to let go of MY swing canopy. Nuh-uh! I wasn't losing it. So...I held on tight. Imagine if you will - a pregnant Mary Poppins. I went flying - my stubborn self and the swing canopy I refused to release. We landed about 10 feet away with a good ka-thunk. 10 weeks later a healthy little fella was born, but I did go in to the hospital at my OB's request that night just to check things out. He had a great  at me and my Mary Poppins moment.
to you aneliese! Keep your feet up. Drink lots of water. Say some prayers of thanksgiving that you landed on your rump and not your belly. See what the morning brings and stay watchful as your midwife recommends. I'll pray that all is well!

I, too, fell while pregnant with our oldest. We had gone out to eat for Valentine's Day with the family, I was 32 weeks and the parking lot was slippery. I wasn't being careful and walked a little too fast. OUCH.
Needless to say, she was born healthy.
