Please say a prayer for my big guy, the 16yo, who is having all four wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning. It won't be fun. It is under IV sedation. I'm hoping and praying he sails through this!!

Praying...and assume he won't sail through...he'll be pretty miserable for a few hours. (Dd's dance friend just had 5 teeth out in one session. It was not pretty.) If he's completely sedated, have him avoid dairy product afterward for a few hours at least, just in case he develops nausea from the anesthesia.

Carefully follow all instructions and call the oral surgeon the minute anything seems wrong. (I had dry sockets with my extractions...since I didn't know what they were, we didn't have them attended to in time. Not the best situation.)

Thanks, everyone. Nancy, I expect some intense pain at first....I had this done at almost the exact same age, many centuries ago...I'm really dreading this afternoon for my sweet guy. I keep hearing about dry socket....ugh...I'll be a very good post-op nurse today and follow all instructions to avoid such complications!!!
Say a little prayer for Lily, life is hard when one of her brothers is needy...because she is sort of the center of attention....and gets pretty clingy when things get intense with one of her boys. Lots of Baby Signing Time this afternoon!!
