A quick prayer request for the people in the country of Georgia. I just had a chance to read the paper, and they are without gas and electricity during the coldest winter in a decade.
Doesn't one of our forum members live there? I pray that God especially has mercy on their family.

Praying here for all those in Georgia. Katie posted this the other day (27th):
"Dear all,
I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten!!
Life, as usual, got in the way a bit here.
I'm not sure if the bombings of the gas pipeline here in Georgia made the news or not. We actualy don't use gas, but it has had a sort of domino effect, and I have been without DSL, without electricity, and without water, for all or most of the day (and night) this past week. Phone service is sporadic. The fact that we got a very uncharacteristic foot of snow has not helped. Usually it just melts off by noon, but we've been stranded at home due to the state of the roads. I have good tyres and 4-wheel drive, but 80% of the population drives an ancient Lada with no brakes and no tread. It's just safer indoors! "

I'm glad you posted this Rachel. I read a short story on the situation in Georgia earlier today in the Post and immediately thought of our fellow forum member.
Katie, are things getting any better yet?
