He's 68, fell off a tractor in the midst of harvest season trying to fix something and shattered part of his shoulder cup...the part that holds the socket in place plus the part of the bone that attaches to ligament or tendons (I forgot which attaches to the bone)..anyway he's having surgery tomorrow to rewire his shoulder, have the bone fragments removed and to get things reattached before they attach to unwanted areas. The surgeon warned him the pain will be excruciating afterwards...

Dad is not the most patient of men and being laid up for harvest is extremely hard on him and possibly those around him...he called me last week to tell me I had no business homeschooling because of the new baby...sigh...you might pray for my mom too as she ministers to him through his recovery!

Oh dear! My fil nearly did this a couple of years ago and it was frightening. Tractor accidents can be scary! Thanks be to God he wasn't injured more seriously! I'll pray that the surgery is successful and that there is good pain management!
